Spring Flower
This flower is quick and easy to cut and assemble! The files are compatible with both the 8x12 and 12x12 mats and can be sized to fit your needs.
Here is the tutorial:
1. Cut out all your pieces. For this project I am using a skewer to shape and a quilling tool to help roll. You can also use a pencil to shape and hand roll.
2. Adhere your leaf pieces together and use the skewer/pencil to shape leaf areas.
3. Place adhesive along the bottom straight edge of the flower center piece.
4. Roll in tightly - make sure you roll so adhesive sticks :)
5. Your piece should look like this image.
6. Find the center of the roll and then spread out the pieces.
7-8. Next gather your flower forms. Using the skewer/pencil, place curves in the petals. I put my skewer in the center of the petal and pinch the paper up on both sides then roll the skewer a little while pinched.
9. Set your flower forms in size order. We will be starting with the smallest.
10. Place adhesive (hot glue works best or a strong adhesive) in the center of the smallest flower shape then adhere in the center of the flower that we rolled above.
11. For the next flowers, I use a foam adhesive circle to give them some lift. If you are using hot glue, you can just build up a platform then adhere.
12-16. Adhere the flower into the next sized flower form, staggering the petals as you go.
17. Adhere the leaf piece to the bottom!
