3 Layered Rolled Flower
This file comes with all the pieces you need to create this flower. The pieces are sizeable to fit your needs and are compatible with both the 8x12 and 12x12 mats.
Below is an image of the pieces:
For this project I am using:
- 80# Cardstock
- Quilling Tool (slotted for rolling). You can just use your fingers but I have found that the tool allows for a tighter roll
- Adhesive - hot glue works the best or a strong double sided adhesive tape
- Skewer or Pencil to curve leaf piece
Here is the tutorial:
1. After cutting all your pieces, grab the smallest spiral form. Starting at the end begin rolling tightly!2. Adhere the last couple petals to the flower form you just rolled. It should look similar to this now.
3. Grab your middle sized spiral. Place adhesive on the first two (outer ring) petals and then on the center petal as well.
4. Place your rolled flower on the outer petals of the spiral and roll tightly!
5. Push the center of the flower form toward the bottom to adhere. Your flower should look like this image.
6. This is the two flower forms flipped over so you can see the center flower petal on the bottom from step #5.
7. For the large spiral form, I place adhesive in several spots. If using hot glue, just dab as you roll.
8. Again, you place the flower form on the outer end of the spiral and begin rolling tightly as you did with the others.
9. Adhere the center of the spiral toward the bottom/center of the flower as before.
10. Grab your leaf cut and use the skewer/pencil to curve the leaf areas.
11. Place adhesive on the stem and adhere to the bottom of your rolled flowers.
