Nesting Swing Boxes
These nesting swing boxes come in three sizes and are easy to cut and assemble. The file comes with the three box bases and their coordinating mats. The boxes have a hinged opening allowing them to 'swing' open and have a slot/tab for closure. The boxes can be used stacked or nested. All boxes are compatible with both the 8x12 and 12x12 mats.
Small Box is approximately 2-1/8" x 2-1/4" x 2-1/8"
Medium Box is approximately 2-3/8" x 2-1/2" x 2-3/8"
Large Box is approximately 2-5/8" x 2-1/2" x 2-3/4"
Here is the tutorial:
1. Ungroup the mats from the boxes and move the mats before cutting. Cut out the pieces within the file. Fold on the score lines and adhere the mats in the coordinating areas as shown. Place a strong adhesive on each of the four tabs (as shown with the red tape).
2. Adhere the tabs to the box side as shown.
3. Adhere the remaining tabs to the box side to form the box shape.
4. Tuck the 'square' sides in and bring the box closure tab up and insert into the slot to close. Repeat steps for all three boxes.
