Paper Organizers!
We all know I love organization by now, right?
These new boxes are so much fun to build and you can stuff so much in them!
This 12 Compartment Box comes with the base box and then you cut six double boxes to create the 12 compartments! The completed project is approximately 6-1/2" x 4-1/2" x 2-3/4" with each double box being around 2-1/4" x 2" (each section about 1") x 2-3/4"!
You can store Distress Paints, Adhesives, Stickles, Small Ribbon Rolls (2 per slot such as American Crafts), Lipsticks, even Nail Polishes! This file is compatible with both the 8x12 and 12x12 mats too!
Here is the tutorial:
1. Cut out the six double boxes and fold on the score lines. As shown in the image, three sections fold up (shown to the left in white) and the others fold down (shown to the right in denim).
2. Adhere the tab to the box to form the first box then push the two small bottom tabs in.
3. Adhere the other tab to the other side of the box to form the second box shape on the back of the first. Push the two tabs in. Your box should look similar to this now.
4. Place adhesive on the bottom small tabs (4 of them). Adhere the short flap down then adhere the long flap in place.
5. Stand the box up. It should look like this now!
6. Complete steps 1-5 for the remaining five boxes.
7. Cut your base box and fold on the score lines. Adhere the tabs to the box sides on the inside of the box shape. It should look like this.
8. Adhere the box sides together in sets or two. Place adhesive around the edges of the base box and begin inserting in sets, adhering them to the box base as you go!
9. Your organizer should look like this now.
Note, I am using a double-sided card stock paper for these boxes, about 80# weight. I would recommend at least this weight or something thicker so your organizer has some sturdiness to it. I also use Scotch Quick Dry adhesive.
