Two Toned Gift Bag

This file comes with a one piece base, a decorative mat that also lines the top of the bag (folds over), and a bottom mat to hide the tabs at the bottom for a crisp clean, store bought look!   The completed project is approximately 3-3/4" x 4" x 1-1/2" and the bag is compatible with both the 8x12 and 12x12 mats.

Here is the tutorial:
1. Cut out your pieces and fold on the score lines.  Place adhesive on the front of the main bag piece as shown (along the side tab, on each of the two smaller bottom flaps, and on the far right large bottom flap across the bottom).  Also place adhesive on the BACK SIDE of the mat/liner cut.  This piece requires adhesive along the top (I use a 1/2" double sided adhesive tape all away across), then two pieces for the bottom score line area, one to cover the first three section and then a separate to cover the last section (it is cut/split as its own piece).
2. Take the mat/liner piece and adhere the first three sections of that mat/lines to the top of the box.  Do not adhere the last piece, leave the adhesive tape on for now.  Please make sure you take your time with this as you need to ensure it is even and score lines match up!
3. Remove the top adhesive on your mat/line and fold it down and adhere in place!  If something happens and your holes are not perfectly aligned, it's okay! Your ribbon handles will hide that in the end.
4. Flip your box over.  Place adhesive on the large flap at the bottom as shown.
5. Fold your long side tab in and adhere to the other side of the box to form its shape.
6. Push your two small bottom tabs in.
7. Push your top flap down (watch where your adhesives are so you end up with a piece at the bottom and a piece at the top). Then finish closing your box.
8. Place your box upright.  Remove your adhesive on the remaining mat/liner and adhere it down.
9. Place adhesive on the back of the bottom box cut and then adhere it at the bottom of the bag to hide the box flaps.
10. Your box should look like this now!
11. Cut ribbon/twine for your handles.  You can make these any length but make sure you cut them long enough so that they are easy to knot on both sides. You can place handles on each side of the bag (as I have) or have them go across the bag for a different look.
12. Embellish and fill your bag as desired!
