Halloween Rose with Stem
This file comes with all the pieces you need to create this halloween rose with the stem. The pieces are sizeable to fit your needs and are compatible with both the 8x12 and 12x12 mats.
Here is the tutorial:
1. Cut out your pieces and sort by size order. Starting with the smallest, bend the petals up as shown to form the center.
2. Add the center to the next smallest piece using a strong adhesive such as hot glue or Scotch Quick-Dry Adhesive. Bend the petals up around the center.
3-10. Continue adhering the center flower piece to the next size larger flower form, bending the flower petals up and forming shape. Once all flower pieces are together, roll a few of the flower petals pieces with a skewer or pencil as shown in 10th image.
11. Grab the stem cut (square piece). Place strong adhesive in the one corner and begin to roll tightly with a skewer/pencil in the opposite corner.
12. Hold the piece until dry. I use Quilting Clips to hold mine.
13. Gather your stem pieces as shown.
14. With your rolled stem, cut off one end so it is flat.
15. Adhere the thorn piece around the stem.
16. On the opposite end from your flat cut, slice the stem so you have two flaps (two cuts on the stem tube).
17. Adhere these two flaps to the rose bottom.
18. Your rose should look like this now.
19. Add curl to your leaf pieces using a skewer or pencil.
20. Adhere two of the leaf pieces together.
21. Adhere leaf pieces to flower stem.
