Gift Box With Rose and Insert

This gift box comes is approximately 4-1/4" x 3-3/4" x 1-1/2" when assembled.  The box comes with the box bases, coordinating mats, a gift card insert as well as a 3D Paper Rose with leaves.  Perfect for birthdays, Mother's Day, Easter goodies, and more!  The file is compatible with both the 8x12 and 12x12 mats and the pieces can be used separately or together (as shown).

Here is the tutorial:
1. Cut out your box pieces.  Fold on the score lines and adhere the mats in place.  Place adhesive on the for tabs on the piece with the cutouts and one the two small tabs on the longer piece (shown with white adhesive tape in image).
2. Starting with the longer piece, adhere the two tabs to the sidewalls, this will become the lid.  Add a strong adhesive on the bottom area below all the score lines as shown.
3. Gather the cutout piece (box base) and adhere the four tabs to the sidewalls to form its shape.
4. Adhere the box base where we placed adhesive in step #2.  Make sure you line up the score line so the box closes properly (it will hit the edge of the box base).
5. This is just the back image of the box assembled.
6. Image is of the box closed.
7. If using, cut the gift card insert and fold on the score lines.  Adhere the four small tabs to the sidewalls to form the shape.  Adhere the gift card mat in place making sure not to place adhesive on the semi-circle shapes that will hold the gift card.
8. The insert will sit at the bottom of the box.

Now for the flower!
(this is also optional)
The image above is of the way I have curved the flower petals.  I place my skewer on each side of the petal and roll in.  The leaf pieces have score lines in them.  I use  an ink to taps around the sides and on the score lines then adhere the leaves together with foam adhesive.

For the flower assembly, pinch up the smallest of the forms...really squish it together...then adhere it inside the next sized flower form.  I tend to add tap ink around the edges of the flower layers are I go - totally optional!  Continue squishing and adhering into the next form.  I usually over squish and then come back through and fluff out the petals I want moved.  Make sure you are using a strong adhesive (like hot glue or a liquid quick-dry adhesive) so the flowers stay together well!  Once all flower pieces are together, adhere to the leaves and move the petals around as desired!  Adhere the flower to the box!
