Cricut Cartridges in the Cricut Imagine! Tutorial Included!

Good Morning!  Today I am back to share with you a little tutorial for using your Cricut Imagine with your regular Cricut Cartridges!

We are going to be working with the SpongeBob SquarePants Cartridge to create this card!

You will want to place your SpongeBob SquarePants Cartridge in the left hand side of your machine and then place a Imagine Cartridge in the other slot (any will do as we will be using custom colors).

Select the image you want and then add it to your mat.  Edit the image by clicking on the image and selecting the pencil icon.  Click on the "Layers" tab and then click apply/okay.

Once you have all the pieces separated, you will want to go into each in the edit mode (with the pencil) and then fill the image with the color of your choice.  I have the colors I selected below (click to make the photo larger).  If you want to use my colors, simply change your R|G|B areas to match mine at the bottom of the screen.

The top right photo is for the tongue.  The top left is for the mouth area.
The next row, right is for the shorts areas and the left is for the shorts base.
The bottom center is for Patrick's body pieces.  I used a black for the shadow piece.

Once you are done, your mat should look similar to the top right photo.
Click on the "Next" button then click on the "Okay" button then follow the instructions on the screen.

You should have pieces similar the bottom right photo.

I adhered my Patrick detailed body on to the shadow base then colored over it with the R32 Copic Sketch Marker to bring out the details.  Assemble the other pieces using foam adhesive where desired.  Then decorate your card!

Shopping List:
(Remember ScrapbookPal.com has super fast free shipping on orders $25.00 or more within the U.S.!)

I love that I can color the individual cuts using my Cricut Imagine - it is so much easier than placing different cuts of cardstock on the mat and hoping for the best :)

Thanks so much for stopping by!
