This card just makes me smile! These little monsters and papers are from the DCWV Doodlin' Round stack, aren't they just the cutest?!
I have made one of the hardest decisions of my life (so far) in this past week of resigning my job of 12 1/2 years. Though it is always difficult to make changes and say goodbye, I am very grateful I have an opportunity to do so. I am leaving behind some great co-workers and clients and have many thank you cards to create and write, so bear with me during this theme of mine! :) Here's to new adventures in the days ahead!
The challenge this week is STAMPS at Practical Scrappers! I simply adore stamps and coloring! I used The Stamping Boutique's Rainy Cynthia as my image for this card. She quickly came to life with the help of my Copic markers! The paper and chipboard frame are Elsie and the chipboard heart is Heidi Swapp.
This is my version of their sketch:
I used American Crafts Moda Bella and Making Memories papers, American Craft ribbon, Kaiser jewels, and SRM Quick Cards Stickers.
This week at Frosted Designs the challenge is polka dots and plaids! What a fun combination! I used paper by Making Memories and Heidi Swapp and added in one of my favorite "girly" stamps by Elzybells Art Stamps (princess). She is stamped on the card and then I stamped her on the pink polka dot paper to get the outline of her skirt! Be sure to stop by and enter your creation!
Practical Scrappers is having a challenge with flowers. I do not own many flowers so for this challenge, I created my own using a wonderful tutorial from the talented Maria! The paper flower tutorial can be found HERE on Maria's blog! I created a SCAL file for the flower shapes since I didn't have a similar punch. You can grab the flowers HERE And finally -
This is my cut file design of the Cricut Panda! You can get the Cricut file HERE This was designed with George and Basic Shapes
**This is my second post of the day**
The weekend sketch for Practical Scrappers was created by Gloria, be sure to click here to see all the amazing cards that she and some members of the design team created, LOVE THEM! And, Gloris has included instructions for her pinwheel under her posting too! I flipped the sketch on its side to create a different view. I have always enjoyed seeing all the different versions of the same sketch, it is amazing to me how we all see and showcase things differently through our creations! I hope you come join along so we can see your version!
This is the Little Einstein's Rocket.

Well, she finally has a place to call her own! That's right, my talented sister has finally landed in blogland and I am super excited! She'll be hooked in no time, I just know it! We have some of her images up in my store if you want them for your projects, as digital stamps you can color or already colored up ready to go! Be sure to stop by her site and send her a warm and happy welcome and look at all the amazing work she has!
This is a Decagon Box that I have created in SCAL. You can grab the download file HERE. The box requires at least six scores around the bottom. The box on the right in the above photo has six additional score marks where the scallops join the rectangles, the box on the left just contains the bottom six scores. Three of the sides you pull the ribbon down through the holes. The other three sides, bring the ribbon up through the holes and then tie in a bow.
The challenge this week at Frosted Designs is to create a Valentine card WITHOUT using Pink or Red!! This was a tough one for me! I can't wait to see what this week's challenge brings to each of you! For this challenge I used one of my sisters drawings and went with a kid theme! Paper is Heidi Swapp, Ribbon is American Crafts, Lion image is by J.M. Rush, inside, Valentine stamp is Studio G, and jewels on heart are Recollections pearl stickers.
Yes, this is more of the Adornit, Fern Collection. I was able to get two cards out of the one 12x12 paper and still managed to have four more owl frames, some stitching, and 1x12 strip left! I love it when I can stretch a piece of paper to fit multiple projects!
