Fun in the Sun Mini Album

This is a mini album from Scrap Within Reach!  I love that the chipboard pages come with ink around the edges so all I have to do is add paper and photos!  I used the SWR Carnival Ride collection to decorate the album, I love how it compliments the black and white photos!

Count You Twice...

I am really enjoying working with P K Glitz's preferred partner, Prickley Pear.  Their stamps have so much detail and provide crisp images, which is really important to me!  This is their Butterfly Heart stamp...just look at all the detail!
I traced some of the detail with my Quickie Glue Pen and added Pink Glitter Glitz to give it some extra shine!  I also punched a border on Sticky Paper and used the Pink Glitter Glitz to cover so they would coordinate!

Teacher Card Purse

Hannah and I created this project together.  She used my Card Purse Cut file to create the bag base and she used the Create a Critter Cricut Cartridge for the little animals and grass!  She did such a great job.  I created the notecards and tag (from Plantin Schoolbook)!  Here is the back of the bag:

Thinking of You

Adding little touches of glitter to your projects can make a big difference! For this card, I traced the open areas of the scallop border and the inner parts of the leafs with the Sakura Quickie Glue Pen and then added Glitter Glitz in Tropical Rain and Burgundy! The glitter gives the card that extra touch and that special sparkle!

Splash Zone

I love the bright bold colors in this layout and I wanted to pull in multiple colors into my title.  I cut the shadow title with green cardstock and the normal cut in orange then sprayed the orange cardstock letters with Helmar's V2 Vellum Adhesive and then placed Tropical Rain Glitter Glitz over the adhesive.  I let it sit for a while then I went back in with a small sewing needle and added scratches throughout the letters, revealing hints of the orange cardstock.
Glitter: Glitz in Tropical Rain (P K Glitz)
Adhesive: 3D Foam Squares (Scrapbook Adhesive) and V2 Vellum Adhesive (Helmar)
Cardstock: Earthtones and Brights Textured Cardstock (Momenta)
Pattern Paper: Endless Summer (Momenta)
Font: Porky's (used with Cricut)Punch:  EK Success
Gemstones: Hero Arts
Sticker:  Endless Summer Vellum Message

It added just the perfect amount of color and brought additional texture to the title!

P K Glitz - You CAN Be Crafty Challenge

This month the P K Challenge is to use cans!  I will have to admit, this was a tough challenge for me but I am very happy with the results!  For the pencil holder, I cut the top off of one can and then created slices an inch down around the side and rolled them with a pen.  I added glue dots to each roll and added P K Glitter Glitz.  I adhered a piece of pattern paper and added a ribbon.  For the card, I used another can and punched a large label Nestabilitie with my Cuttlebug.  I then embossed the can with the Paisley Cuttlebug embossing folder and traced some of the design with a glue pen and added more Glitter Glitz!
Be sure to stop by the P K Blog and join

Customized Candle

I love candles of all kinds but lets face it, they can get pricey! I have had my eyes on a candle at a fancy store for a couple weeks but as I was playing with my Helmar Clear Zapdots I figured out that I could mimic it and spend much, much less! I started off with a 6" vanilla and added several 1/2" clear round Zapdots, leaving the adhesive cover on the outside of the Zapdots. I then added three strips of P K Glitz's 1/4" Sticky Tape, again leaving the adhesive cover on. I poured out three areas of glitter, one for each color, and began peeling the adhesive covers off of the areas as I worked. I worked with all of one color before moving on to the next, shaking off the excess glitter. After all of the areas were covered, I ran the candle under the faucet rubbing areas where the excess glitter had stuck to the candle being careful to not rub off the areas I wanted the glitter to stay!
Glitter: Glitz in Chocolate, Charteuse, and Gilded Ivory (P K Glitz)
Adhesive Tape: 1/4" Sticky Tape (P K Glitz)
Adhesive: Helmar Zapdots, 1/2" Round Clear (Helmar)
Candle: 6" Vanilla

I am so pleased with how this candle turned out and can't wait to make more!

Father's Day Basket

I am the Guest Designer for Helmar Adhesives and I am sharing a basket that I designed as a SVG and Sure Cuts A Lot file! You can get the files through these links:
The photo below shows the score marks and folds.
After inking around the edges, I placed Helmar 450 Quick Dry adhesive on the four tab folds, on the pattern paper side and then adhered them to the inside of the basket. Then I added a strip of Helmar Quick-Fix Adhesive Runner to each end of the handles and attached them to the center of the basket!

A Very Special Day

I have lots of stencils both old and new and I have always loved the look that they give to my projects. However, the one thing that I have never enjoyed is the time it takes to transfer them to my project so I decided to try something new using Helmar's Vellum Adhesive spray! I placed my stencil over my cardstock and masked areas that I didn't want to transfer then taped the stencil down to my card and sprayed the Vellum Adhesive over my project. Since the Helmar Vellum Adhesive remains tacky, you do not have to rush to cover the adhesive, which I love! After I sprayed my project, I ran my stencil under warm water and used dish soap to remove the adhesive then I went back and covered my card with P K Glitz's EP Max Embossing Powder in Golden Diamond and removed the excess then used a heat gun to set and emboss!
A stenciled card in less than ten minutes, can't beat that!
