This week at Practical Scrappers the challenge is to use your rub-ons! I found a pack of Heidi Swapp rub-ons in my stash and used those for the flourish and the diamond border.
Supplies:
Paper - Bazil Bling, DCWV, and Jillibean Soup
Digital Stamp - The Stamping Boutique
Font - CK Ali
Rub-Ons - Heidi Swapp
Jewels - The Paper Studio
Markers - Copic Sketch
One of my favorite things to do is to make sentiments for my cards using Microsoft Word and text boxes. I print my sentiment first on computer paper and then tape my paper on to the computer paper where I want the sentiment to appear. The only issue I have with this technique is that it is flat and often fades into the card. However, I am about to show you how you can change that!
First, you will need to design your sentiment (and have it printed), Inkessentials Glossy Accents, and some P K Glitter Glitz. With your Glossy Accents, trace your letters that you want to draw attention to. Note: If you get out of the lines or overlap two letters, you can use a toothpick to clean it up.
Once you have your letters traced add your glitter:
Shake off the excess glitter back into the jar and touch up any letters that you need to with the toothpick. The Glossy Accents will take about 25-30 minutes to dry.
At this point I add my stamped image. I do this at this point in case I mess up the lettering, but you could have it stamped before.
I use Copic Sketch Markers to color in my image.
The Glossy Accents adds dimension, this is a level view of the lettering:
You can do this with stickers and rub-ons as well! Such an easy way to change up the products we have and add dimension to our creations!

Font: Baby Kruffy & Corinthia

Markers: Copic Sketch

This is an order that I completed for Easter invitations last week.
I created seven identical invites with all the details printed on this inside of the card.
I really fell in love with these colors and how they pulled out features in the family photo (which has been blurred for this post!). Creating invitations for others is always so much fun for me, but the producing in bulk always causes some sort of challenge! :)
Paper - DCWV , Buttefly - SCAL cut, EK Border Punch, Misc. Ribbon, and Corinthia Font.
Practical Scrappers is challenging us to use items from our stash that are over a year old! The pink cardstock and the pattern paper are both over FOUR years old! It's Chatterbox and I found a whole stash of it in one of my paper bins, you know - to good to actually use! And yes, I will start using it now! :) Supplies:
Paper - Chatterbox
Punch - EK Border

I have been playing with baskets for a couple weeks, trying to get one that would be fitting for Easter and after many attempts I have created this one! I went for a basket look, so the edges overlap each other slightly. It is soo easy to assemble, which makes me even happier! You can get the files below:
The SCAL file has two tabs, one for the basket and one for the handle.
I also created a file for the little baby chick:
Supplies:
Glue Dots: Mini
Glue Pen: 2 Way Glue (Zig)
Paper: Nap Time (American Crafts) / DCWV
Punch: Water Threading (EK)
Ribbon: American Crafts / Paper Raffia
If you make a basket, I'd love to see it so be sure to leave a link in the comments or email me a photo!
I was thumbing through some of our vacation photos from last April when I ran across this cup of fries! Don’t they just look delicious?! I used mini glue dots down the sides of the scallop borders as well as small circle punches with Sticky Paper and covered them all in Gold Glitter Glitz to give the layout some shimmer and texture!
The borders are a SCAL file that I created, you can get the file below!
Supplies:
Sticky Paper: Used on punched Circles (P K Glitz) Buttons: Pastel (The Paper Studio)
Chipboard: Li'l Davis
Glue Dots: Mini
Paper: Cardstock (DCWV) / Pattern Paper (My Mind's Eye)
Punch: Corner Punch (EK) / Circles (Carl)
Pen: White and Gold Signo Broad (uni-ball)

Practical Scrappers is having a chipboard challenge this week! I found some Making Memories paint at Tuesday Mornings and decided I would break it out for this challenge! So here it is - my very first painting project! I crocheted the chipboard frame to the card! :)
The paper is DCWV and Daisy Bucket Designs, Chipboard is Making Memories and Fancy Pants.
Glitter is P K Glitz Glitter Glitz, Poppy and Paint is Making Memories, Freeze and Fir Tree.
Paper and Chipboard - K & Company
Buttons - Autumn Leaves
Misc. Chalk and ribbon.
For this card, I created a SCAL2 file for my tags (you can get the file HERE), leaving the shamrocks as open cuts. I cut small squares of Sticky Paper out and placed them behind the open shamrocks, exposing the sticky side. I then used Meadow "Glitter Glitz" and spread across the sticky paper. I also used the Sticky Paper with my circle punches to create the arch and then peeled the paper and added the Meadow Glitter Glitz again. The button has a ZOT glue dot added to the center and then more of the Meadow Glitter placed on top! Cardstock: DCWV
Pattern Paper: Making Memories, Deck the Halls
Ribbon: Making Memories, Kids Trims
Button: Autumn Leaves
Font: Corinthia
Getting myself into our scrapbook pages is something that I am trying very hard to do this year! When I ran across this photo from our trip last spring, I knew that I wanted to capture the feeling I had when I saw it. We have this arguement that is heard a lot through our home, each kid complains that the other is "so lucky" as he/she get to do something that the other one can not. When I grabbed this photo and looked at it, I thought to myself "they are both wrong, I'm the lucky one"! Glitter: P K Glitz, Glitter Glitz-Meadow (Lucky) and Ritzy Ditzy Glitz, Bronze (Hearts) Cardstock: Bazil
Pattern Paper: My Mind's Eye
Button: Autumn Leaves
Chipboard: Making Memories and Li'l Davis Designs
Font: Corinthia (Journaling and Lucky)
Ink: American Crafts Slick Writer (Black), Uni-ball Signo (White), and Cat's Eye Chalk Ink (Olive Pastel)
Fibers: Making Memories
Ribbon: American Crafts (Yellow) and Misc.
Jewels: Zva Creations
P K Glitz carries Sticky Paper...If you haven't tried this you really need to! I put this down on my Cricut mat (word side up) and cut the Lucky out above. It cut perfectly! Then all I had to do was peel the word side off which exposed the sticky and shake glitter over it! That easy!! I love this stuff and it is priced great! It comes in a pack of 25 (4 1/4 x 5 1/2) sheets for $5.25! Be sure to check out my Scrapbook and Cards Today feature for this layout by clicking HERE!
Journaling:
This race track would take you zooming past us and whip you around two curves. The longer you rode, the braver you became. These photos were taken toward the end of the ride! Hands Up! Cedar Point~June 2007
I cut a photo that I took of the ride as a title for the page. Paper-My Mind's Eye and DCWV, Buttons Autumn Leaves, Cat's Eye Chalk Ink.
Journaling:
Hannah was showing you how to use the Xyron sticker maker and the next thing we knew you had cut a red strip of paper, made it into a sticker and created your very own headband! You were kicking and karate chopping in the hallway acting like the Three Ninja's, one of your favorite shows!
Inside the "MY GUY", I used index sized photo prints of the different pictures I captured.
Paper - Scenic Route, Cricut George (MY GUY), Misc Buttons
Caardvarks is having a photo inspiration challenge - this is the photo:
And this is my take:
I created the Bird Cage as an SVG and Studio file.
You can get the SVG/Studio file HERE
The paper is Making Memories and American Crafts, Jewles are The Paper Studio, and I used P K Glitz, Ritzy Ditzy Glitz (Bronze) to add shimmer to the bird cage and butterflies. I used the Cuttlebug Swiss Dots embossing folder and misc. ribbon.
