This week at Frosted Designs the challenge is to use the same shape but in different sizes and I can't wait to see what each of you do for this challenge! This card is using rectangles in five different sizes. Recollections and DCWV paper, Cuttlebug Swiss Dots embossing folder, and Joe Hand 2 font printed on cardstock.

This week at Practical Scrappers our challenge was to stitch on our projects! I used my sewing machine to stitch on the pattern cardstock and then attached it to my card.

If you read my blog, you know that my sister draws most of what I have been working with lately. Well now I'd like to introduce you to my ever-so-talented niece. Bailey is the 13 year old daughter of my sister and she has so much creativity and beauty about her, just an amazing young lady. She did this drawing for me…isn’t she superb!? What I wouldn’t give for a lick of their drawing talents! Paper is DCWV, Ribbon is twine and American Crafts.

My daughter's big 10th birthday is just around the corner. She designed the invitations this year on a piece of paper and asked that I create them. We did a post card style 4x6 card with the decoration on the front and the details on the back.
Not nearly as "girly" as I'd like for them to be, but I learning to let go "a little" :) I did manage to sneak in the bow on the skull and the bling without any issues!

Isn't this the cutest rabbit you have ever seen? I just adore him! He is another drawing by Jenn! I used kraft paper and my Cuttlebug for the majority of the card. The window circle was punched out with the Spellbinder circles, and then I embossed the circle the rabbit is on. I also used the vine folder for the front. Ribbon is from The Paper Studio.
Looks like we have finally gotten the flu bug at our house, both my son and I are ill. We have a vacation that is suppose to begin Friday, so my fingers are crossed that we will be able to make it! My postings will be slim but I have a couple "scheduled" posts that will be coming up throughout the next couple weeks. Happy Holidays!

This is a mini box set of 3x3 cards and envelopes. All of the art is done by my sister, Jenn! We went totally goofy with this set! I have made six sets of these which will be for sale at the Holiday Craft Bazaar that I am doing in December. Melinda over at All Things Crafty and Delicious created the box I used for this set. Go over and check out her blog, she has some amazing ideas and work! I resized my box so that it was the length of the 12x12 mat.

This week at Frosted Designs our challenge is to add bling - more bling the better! Come over and enter your bling!
This elf is another drawing by Jenn, isn't he adorable!? I added green and red Stickles to give him some sparkle and then grinded styrofoam together to get the 'fake' flower-soft (what a cool, cheap way of adding fluff!) for his white areas! He is traced in glitter pen too - yes, he sparkles for sure! The presents are chipboard tags from American Crafts that I cut up and wrapped in ribbon. Those jingle bells were silver but then airbrushed with Copics, how fun is that!?

I am a blog hopper...I just love looking at everything each of you create, the ideas and creativity amaze me each day! Through some of my hops yesterday I found a few home-made bows and then googled for a tutorial and found one through here: Paper Bow These are so cute and quick to do! The one thing that would speed it up is pre-cut paper, so this weekend I think I will add in a cut file for the paper bits. I will just add it to this post once I have it in place, so check back! The green bows are regular sized and the Santa bow is a mini (the paper sizes found in the comments of the tutorial), but I added in a background cardstock. Cricut Cut File is done on George 12x12 Mat (mini's can be done on 12x6 with deletions): Package Bows

This week's challenge at Practical Scrappers is to use color or white core cardstock on our projects. I am super excited about this challenge as I have a lot of color core cardstock and I love seeing all the other ideas that everyone comes up with!
I embossed the black cardstock (with orange core) with a Cuttlebug folder and then sanded the top layer. I think it provides such a neat look! I can't wait to see what you submit! Click HERE to enter yours! Be sure to check out the Practical Scrappers message boards too! You can find the link on the PS site at the top left corner (under the banner)!

This post is a little photo heavy! This is a cut file for a Pop Out Gift Card. This is an idea I have seen several other places, but I did not find a cut file in my searches. Since I am making in bluk, I needed a cut file! The cut file is George and can fit on a 12x6 mat. The cut file can be found through this link: Pop Out Gift Card
The cut file comes with the score lines, the photo below shows where they are and how to fold. Once folded, place glue along the center edges and then glue the two center pieces together to form a peak. This entire piece will glue to the card base.

This week over at Frosted Designs there is a color challenge using Teal, Brown, and Orange. This is an accordion itunes gift card purse with a matching card. This little purse is also great for earring sets that are on the cards. I have a cut file for the purse pieces, but I do not have instructions created at this time for the scoring or how to piece it together. I have another accordian purse that I am working on to store five different gift cards (larger than the itunes cards) which I am hoping to have out here this weekend, so check back if you want the cut files and details that go with them! Click HERE to see the DT examples and enter yours!
The cut file can be found here: itunes/earring accordion purse
Instructions for the purse: HERE
Paper - American Crafts and DCWV, Ribbon - American Crafts and twine, Tag and Flowers - Making Memories.

This is another card for my ten piece set. I am very happy with the way this one turned out, mainly because I love cards that can serve many functions! This one could go for birthday, graduation, just because, thank you...well you get my point! There is a cut file for this card (which ended up being just slightly larger than a 4x6). The cut file is George but this will need a 12x12 mat. You can grab the cut file through this link: Money Holder Cut File
The cut file has the card base and the card wrap (on a separate tab).
Paper and Ribbon - American Crafts, Gemstones-Hero Arts, Fonts were designed in Photoshop.

I am working on a kits for an upcoming holiday bazaar. I am making six kits that each contain ten cards. I typically do not do 'bulk' work so this is a new thing for me...making six of the same card takes planning and thought...having to make sure you keep measurements and plan that you have enough paper/accessories, etc.. The Hippo and Birthday posts below are also part of the kit. I am half way through, so you will be seeing more soon! I have a couple more cricut cut files coming up too (one for a pop-out gift card and one as a card tray)!
Paper-DCWV cardstock and American Crafts pattern, Flowers are cricut cuts embossed with a swirl folder and layered, writing are fonts printed on cardstock.

Paper-American Crafts and DCWV, Ribbon-American Crafts and twine, Swiss Dots Cuttlebug embossing folder, Scallop cut from Gypsy, Cat's Eye Chalk Ink.
