This Bunny Basket is easy to cut and assemble, making them great for last minute gifts, party favors, or for bulk creations for co-workers or classroom treats! The finished project is approximately 2-5/8" x 2-1/2" (6" with handle) x 2-1/2" and is compatible with both the 8x12 and 12x12 mats. The file comes with the box base, the handle, the front box mat, the eyes, and the nose.
Here is the tutorial:
1. Cut the pieces and fold the box base on the score lines. Place a strong adhesive on the two side tabs (shown with red tape in the image). Assemble the rabbit face. I use foam adhesive under the round nose piece and then another to adhere it to the box mat.
2. Adhere the two sides to the box base to form its shape.
3. Place 1/2" adhesive above the slots on each side. The handles will adhere here.
4. Insert the handle into one of the slots. Push the handle down to hide the handle end and adhere in place.
5. Repeat on the other side.
6. Adhere the box mat (rabbit face) to the box front. Fill and embellish as desired.
