Pot of Gold!
This pot of gold is approximately 3-1/2" x 4" x 1-3/4" with the coins being about 1-7/8" x 1/4". The file comes with the pot base, the shadowing layers, and the pieces to make the coin. You can make as many coins as you'd like, I used six to put in my pot. This pot is great for filling with candy, homemade goodies, or small gifts too! The file is compatible with both the 8x12 and 12x12 mats.
Here is the tutorial:
1. Cut out your pieces for the pot base. Place adhesive on the four tabs.
2. Adhere the tabs to the box sides, keeping the tabs hidden just enough so they won't be seen.
3. Adhere the shadowing layers on the front of the pot. If you want both sides decorated, you can cut two of each to do both sides.
4. Next, cut out your coin pieces. You can cut as many as you want or use this box without the coins if you'd like. Use a strong adhesive on the long strip.
5. Place adhesive on the tabs of the circles.
6. In this photo, you will see by the arrow, that one coin was folded with the adhesive on the inside and one was folded to place the adhesive on the outside. When you adhere the tabs together, the glue should touch on each piece.
7. Start by adhering on tab to the other pieces tab. Press firmly to secure hold.
8. Then place the two circles together so the tabs are inside the others. Press the tabs together to secure.
9. You can use a toothpick or skewer to press the tabs if necessary. I just used a dot-adhesive runner and the pieces went together fairly easily.
10. Next grab your long strip. Start in the MIDDLE of a tab.
11. Wrap the strip around the edge, making it tight and adhering as you go!
12. Grab your two circle pieces. Adhere one to the top and one to the bottom of the coin.
13. Place foam adhesive on the shamrock cut. I use just a slightly lighter paper for my shamrock cuts so they stand out a little.
14. Adhere the shamrock to the center of the coin. You can adhere one to each side or leave just one on the front.
15. This image shows a stack of completed coins.
This card is approximately 4-3/4" x 4-3/4" and has a 'tent' fold so it displays upright! The card is compatible with both the 8x12 and 12x12 mats and it comes with all the paper elements shown. These cards sit well standing up and also display super cute on a shelf or mantel!
