These boxes are similar to my 4x6 Photo Box and 5x7 Photo Box but they each come with a viewable top that has two interlocking hearts which can be used to show a photo or include a coordinating mat. These are beautiful and compact and nice enough to have sitting out on your end table for others to look through the photos before you get them in your scrapbooks! It would be perfect for gift giving too!
The 4x6 finished project measures approximately 6-1/4" x 4-1/8" x 2" and it stores lots and lots of photos! The box has a hinged lid that helps keep the dust and light off the photos which will help protect them and the side slots allow the photos to be taken out of the box from the sides which will keep those finger prints off them too! The file is compatible with both the 12x12 and 8-1/2x12 mats.
1. Cut the pieces and fold on the score lines.
2. Apply adhesive to the tabs of the large piece as shown. Adhere the tabs to the box sides. It should look like this now.
3. Grab the lid piece and place adhesive on the tabs. Adhere the tabs to the sides.
4. Next fold the main piece as shown.
5. Place adhesive on one of the ends of the remaining piece as show.
6. Line up the main piece with the base piece and adhere it in place.
7. Place adhesive around the photo frame area.
8. Adhere the photo or mat in the lid area. Place adhesive on the back of the photo/mat.
9. Adhere the main piece flap to cover the photo/mat as shown.
10. Fill with photos.
11-12. Your photo box should look similar to this now!
This 5x7 Card and Photo Storage box holds 5x7 photos and standard A7 (5-1/4" x 7-1/4") cards and envelopes. The finished project measures approximately 7-1/4" x 5-1/4" x 1-1/8". The box has a hinged lid that helps keep the dust and light off the photos which will help protect them and the side slots allow the photos to be taken out of the box from the sides which will keep those finger prints off them too and the lid closes completely so that you can use it for gifting homemade cards along with corresponding envelopes! The file is compatible with both the 12x12 and 8x12 mats.
Cute! I need something to wade through all the childhood photos I've yet to scrapbook. Some I never will, so these little boxes will be perfect.
ReplyDeleteWhen do you think you will have these in svg format? I really like these and they would be very helpful for a project my cousin wants help with, but I prefer the svg format.
ReplyDeleteThanks,
Danielle
Hello.
ReplyDeleteI bought your cut file 3d 4x6 interlocking heart photo box, and the size did not work at all for my 10x15 (cm) photos, though I cut out on a whole 12x12 "paper. What should I have for the size of their cards in order to use your Box igenkligen?
