These are my new Ornament Gift Card Holders and they are perfect for hanging on the tree or even tying on to gift bags and packages! The finished size is approximately 5-3/4" x 4-1/2" and it comes with an insert that has slots for a standard size gift card with a bottom portion for writing in your sentiment/message! The cards are decorated on both sides and they are compatible with both the 8x12 and 12x12 mats! These cut and go together quickly making them ideal for creating multiples. I have two version:
Here is the tutorial:
1. Cut out the pieces
2. Adhere the inside mat in the center of the outer cover. Insert your gift card.
3. The outer cover will show your inside paper back color. Ink around the edges of the outer cover if desired.
4. Adhere the ornament tabs on the outer cover. Close the card and embellish as desired!
Gift card holder is easy to make and buying a gift card holder can be great idea. gift card holders are available in so many different sizes.

Hi! I'm going to make a bunch of these for all of my gift card recipients this year. When I open the file in Silhouette though it's about 11" x 11" big. What size does it need to be resized to to fit a standard gift card into? I appreciate your help!
ReplyDeleteHi! The file comes sized to fit the standard gift card. The outer (decorative) piece on the left folds in half and the inside mats (on the right) have the slots for the gift card and also folds in half to line the inside of the decorative pieces. Hope that helps!
