Good Morning! I have had a lot of requests come in for more Wedding Invitations in different styles and sizes so this week I have a few to share with you all. These will be available in my Silhouette store this week.
This is my 5x7 Pocket Wedding Invitation Set.
This set includes a two piece base, a 5x7 color mat, a 6-1/4x4-1/4 invitation mat, five pocket cards, a band wrap, and two detail square mats for the front of the card. This file is compatible with both the 12x12 and 8x12 mats.
For this invitation I used the following papers:
My next one is my 5x7 Side Pocket Wedding Invitation Set.
This set includes a two piece base, a 5x7 color mat, a 6-1/4x4-1/4 invitation mat, four side pocket cards, a band wrap, and two detail square mats for the front of the card. This file is compatible with both the 12x12 and 8x12 mats.
For this invitation I used the following papers:
Both of these files go together similarly, only the pocket sides adhere on different sides.
Here is the tutorial:
1. Cut out the two base pieces fold on the score lines and apply adhesive on the long side tab and the two pocket tabs.
2. Line the pieces up together as shown.
3. Adhere the long side tab down to the other piece.
4. Adhere the pocket tabs to the card.
5. Adhere your color mat down. Note - this is 5x7 so if your invite needs to be this size, use this cut for your invite prints.
6. Adhere the invitation mat down.
7. Cut your pocket cards.
8. Sort the cards by height order and place them in the pocket.
9. Next grab the band wrap piece, place the main fold in the front and then bring the two sides around to the back.
10. Adhere the long tab to the shorter tab.
11. Adhere the small square mat to the center of the larger then apply to the band with foam adhesive.
12. This is what the finished project will look like.
This invite only used one piece of paper for the pocket base.
Hi Jamie,
ReplyDeleteWhenever I try to merge the 5x7 side pocket wedding invitation set to the silhouette studio, the invitation set, does not merge correctly and overlaps. How do I adjust so that it fits and cuts correctly?
Hi Jamie,
ReplyDeleteI was building this file today and wanted to let you know about an error in size quoted in the instructions. When the file is added to the mat from the library, you get a 6 1/2 x 4 1/2 invitation mat NOT a 6-1/4x4-1/4 invitation mat.
The file pieces all fit together perfectly but when trying to follow the blog instructions the size is simply input incorrectly.
Great file Jamie!
Blessings,
Melitta

ReplyDeleteI can't wait to do these invites for a gift for my sister in law.
ReplyDeleteI would like the buy the appropriate size paper for this craft. I know the jacket is two pieces paper glued together. However, do I need to use 12x12 for the jacket or would 8 1/2 x 11 work?
Thank you for your help!
Hi Kacy! Everything can be cut with 8-1/2"x11" paper with the exception of the band wrap piece. It needs 12" width to cut. Hope that helps! Jamie

Hi Jamie,
ReplyDeleteI am very excited to use the 5x7 Pocket Wedding Invitation Set to create my wedding invitations.
I was wondering if you or anyone else knew what size envelope would fit in the pocket for the RSVP cards. I was thinking A6 but want to see if anyone had tried it.
Thanks!

So, is there any possibility this could (easily be turned into a pocket frame type invitation? Also, if I use this and use 8.5x11 paper, does it use 1 page per invitation or would i need multiple pieces of card stock?
ReplyDeleteThanks

The fence only cost around $200 from a local fence company who custom built it to our specifications (unpainted wood, and we did the install ourselves). I love how much it adds to the house, though, for a pretty small price tag. I'm already plotting what other decorations I can hang on it for the different seasons! :)
