I love this file (and yes I know I will say it at least once more before this week is up!)! This box holds 24 Silhouette Sketch Pens all perfectly in three rows (and will also hold 24 Cricut Pens/Markers too)! It is only 6-5/8" x 1-3/8" x 3-1/8" in size so it will fit on your desk nicely! This file will cut with the 12x12 and 8-1/2x12 mats.
Tutorial:
1. Cut out the pieces in your desired papers.
2. Starting with the base box, fold on all the score lines then place adhesive on the four tabs.
3. Adhere the tabs to the box sides.
4. Grab the top piece and fold on all the score lines. Place adhesive on the four tabs as shown.
5. Adhere the tabs to the box sides.
6. Place adhesive around all of the top box edges as shown.
7. Place the top piece in the base box.
8. Push all the way down then adhere the sides together to secure in place.
9-10. Place you sketch pens (or Cricut pens) in the holes!
Thank you..

Oh what a great file! This is making it to my list for sure! What weight of paper does this work best? Will it work with card stock, or does it need to be chipboard?
ReplyDeleteI'm new to all this - have had my Silhouette Cameo for just over 2 months. I've spent most of that time watching how-to videos on you tube and buying stuff. Decided to try to make this to hold the sketch pens I've collected. Great file! Thanks so much!
ReplyDeleteFound you through the Silhouette newsletter… these sketch pen holders are so cute! I'm new to the Silhouette world and would love to make this. What kind of paper do you use and where can I get it?
ReplyDeleteHey Jen!
ReplyDeleteI use a variety of paper. My go-to card stock is 80# Basis which I buy from CutCardStock.com. However, I do use a lot of American Crafts, Crate Paper, Carta Bella, etc...which are heavier patterned papers. I believe for this box I used SEI's kraft paper with Basis Deep Purple Card Stock. Hope that helps!
Another great file! I have only had my Cameo for a week and have already used several of your 3d organization files. I love them, thx so much! (I especially love that you link the cut file to a tut so I can get it right the first time!)
ReplyDeleteI know it's almost a year later, but I just bought this file a couple weeks ago when I bought my sketch pens. Can't wait to build this. Love your cuts! :)
ReplyDeleteCan you change the size of the holes? I would like to use for other marker sets? Thank you.
