For this month's Blog Hop the Creative Team has 

been working with a Fall into Fabric theme and I have created a fall pumpkin using Samantha's Saddle Up collection with Riley Blake!

Supplies:

Fabric: 

C2823-BROWN 

Saddle Up Flower Brown and 

C2825-BROWN 

Saddle Up Gingham Brown by Samantha Walker for Riley Blake Designs

Twine: Cappuccino (The Twinery)

Other: Twig, Jute, and Hot Glue

Tutorial:

  1. Cut two 5" circles

  2. Place the two pattern sides together

  3. Sew around the edges

  4. Leave a 1" opening for stuffing

  5. Turn the circles inside out so the pattern fabric is showing.

  6. Your circles should look like this photo.

  7. Cut two leaf forms

  8. Place the two pattern sides together

  9. Sew around the edges

10. Leave a small opening

11. Turn the leaf inside out so the pattern fabric is showing.

12. Tuck the opening in and sew around the edges then add a stitch down the center of the leaf.

13. Use newspaper or fiber fill to stuff the circles.

14. Hand stitch the edge of the circle closed.

15. With a 30" piece of twine, tie a knot at the end of the string and then take the twine up through the bottom center of the pumpkin form.

16. Go down one side then back up through the center, pulling the twine firmly to create a section.

17. Continue creating different sections as directed in step 16.

18. Attach the leaf with the twine and then adhere a twig with hot glue.  Add twine to decorate the twig.
