I have completed my week long redo of my art room! I have more extra storage than what I thought I would end up with and everything is easy to get to, so I am very happy with the end results!
Ohhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh it looks AMAZING!!! I love love love love love love the way you displayed the papers!! :):):):):):):):):):):):):):):):):):):):):):):):):):)
OMG, Jamie, what a wonderful craft space -- and everything is so neat and orderly! It just looks so beautiful -- I'd only want to sit in it; if I dared started to work in a room like that it would take me all of of 2 minutes to destroy it all!!! LOL!!!
Cindylu2u, The desk is a Kitchen Island by Martha Stewart that I found at Kmart on clearance a couple years ago! It is my favorite piece :) The craft storage and armoire are by Sauder. The armoire pulls out to be a desk! http://www.afo.com/Products.aspx?Cr=2042&Xn=2081&Pn=60511&Vid=FEDC59241D7302070
Cindy, it is a wood shelf that is made to go into the slat wall. It isn't deep enough that I can cut a full 12x12 so I have to pull it down for big projects, but I love that it gets it off my desk while I am working! I have an identical shelf above my paper trays.
Jamie, I love the paper storage on the wooden slat wall. Can you tell me more about it and where you got it? It really makes it easy to see all the paper.
Evelyn, I bought the slat wall, plastic trays, and spinner from a local Scrapbook store that went out of business. The trays that are holding the paper are clear and are by EK Success. They can store 2 DCWV type paper pads easily per tray, with a little room to spare. I only purchased one full section of their wall, which ended up being 4' x 8' and then I purchased a smaller end piece to cut for above my work desk. Hope that helps!
What a fabulous place to create... it loos like everything you need is right at your fingertips... makes things much easier. I have stuff in totes and I forget half of the stuff that I have... I am a kitchen table crafter.
Okay...now that I've seen the space in real person I can absolutely say that these pictures do not do it justice! It is AMAZING! I want to live there! lol
This is awesome, Jamie! Love that you can see all your stuff! That kitchen island idea is great! I've been thinking about a new scrap table, so I may have to rob my own kitchen!
