I am always looking for designs on Special Occasion Cricut Cartridges that can be used throughout the year! On the Trim The Tree cartridge, I found this accent (Acct1Lyr) that I thought was perfect for the drawing notepads I made for the kids!
I used a pack of blank white 3" x 5" index cards for the pages in the binder. They come in a pack of 100 for under $0.50 at most stores. I split the pack so that there would be 50 drawing cards in each. The accent was cut at 2 1/2".
Supplies:
Cardstock: Georgia Rain and The District (Scrap Within Reach)
Sticker: Scrap Within Reach
Misc: 3" x 5" Blank White Index cards and Bind-It-All
Christmas Lists, BIG "untagged" presents, and yummy-yummy cookies (thanks Aunt Kim!!)
Chili, Football, and Visit to Santa!
Trip to the dentist, a spot on the "No Cavitiy Wall", and a restored ottoman!
The rest of my December Daily Posts will come after the New Year!
Ron has associates that he buys for each year and this year he found these electric screw driver sets at Home Depot for them (I love when he is able to find one gift and keep it the same between them - makes packaging so much easier!)! They were an odd shape so I made a custom box for each set!
The box is 2 1/2" on all sides and 9 3/4" tall (once top is pushed inward).
Supplies:
Cardstock: Textured Christmas (Momenta)
Tag: Christmas (Momenta)
Misc: Ribbon and Fiber
To create the box:
Trim to 11" x 12" and along the 11" side score at 1", 3 1/2", 6", and 8 1/2".
Turn and score at 2".
Cut the tabs up to the 2" mark.
Adhere the small (1") side under the large side and fold and adhere bottom tabs.
Hold the top edges together and push the sides in (like a milk carton).
Punch two holes and tie ribbon to close.
Add a tag and decorate as desired!

Cricut: Joys of the Season (Provo Craft)
Jewels: Green (Creative Charms)
Here is the complete list of the Scrap Within Reach 12 days!
I wish you and your family and friends a very Merry Christmas. May all your holidays be happy and may you have a year blessed with joy, love, and abundance.
Happy Holidays!

One of my friends from work creates the most amazing goodies and each year she gives me a cheesecake for Christmas. This year she gave me a red cheesecake with cream cheese frosting...yes, it is AMAZING! It is really hard to top a gift that good :)
Usually I make her greeting card bouquets, but I decided to change it up a little this year and make Kitchen Tags for her to use when she gives away her delicious creations!
The left section is the tie on tag, middle section is a stack of stickers, and the right section is the twine for the tie on tags.
You can find the box tutorial HERE For the insert, I used a 4" x 9 1/2" paper and scored at 2 1/2, 3, 3 1/2, 6 1/4, 6 3/4, and 7 1/4, making peaks at the 3" and 6 3/4" score marks.
If you are interested in my tag you can download those here:
From the Kitchen of
(I removed the name for the download so you will have to add your own back in!)
I inserted the picture in Word and was able to get 16 per sheet. I used a Fiskars extra large circle punch to cut them out and then adhered them on a scallop punch! For the stickers, I ran the tags through my medium sized sticker creator and then trimmed the sheets so they'd look better!
For this box you will need two 12x12 pieces of cardstock.
On both pieces, score at 2" and 10" then turn and score again at 2" and 10".
Cut on the score marks to form tabs.
Glue the two sides together from each cardstock piece, then adhere the other two sides.
Glue the bottom of the box shut, tucking the two small tabs in first.
You can either tuck the top shut with double sided tape -or- cut two small tabs off and then fold the two long sides back and tape to the box as I have in the photo above!
The box is 8" x 8" x 2-1/4" when completed.
Supplies:
Cardstock/Pattern Paper: Textured (Momenta)
Pen: Signo White (Uniball)
Punches: EK Success and Creative Memories
Misc: Crystal Stickles
This is one of my favorite parts of preparing for Christmas! I love reading the letters that the kids write to Santa; they are always so sweet, often funny, and typically start with an apology! :)
After seeing this post by Monika Wright, I knew I had to have an ornament book to document our family tradition! Monika has amazing mini albums and so many clever ideas and even beautiful templates that she shares! She is a daily source of inspiration for me! If you haven't visited her blog, i love it all, you must go take a look!
Each year the we take the kids to pick ornaments of their own and each year there is a different story and a different adventure. Some years they know what they are after and some years we spend weekends looking for the perfect one! Now we have the scoop of all the years past and spots to hold the future ones for years to come!
I created my template as a png file which I have as a Word Document sized to fit a wallet photo. You can download them through these links:
Supplies:
Ritzy Ditzy Glitz in Patina (P K Glitz)
Graphic 45: Steampunk Collection Paper
Prima: Flowers, Belle Arte Nuveau

Gannon, my eight year old, has been creating and building! He created his own notebook using SEI's monsterville and even covered the back! I just love the little bandage on his head :)
And his very own football field with field goals! He used loads of tape, but I thought that it was really clever! He even has a triangle football that we flick through the uprights!
I finally figure out how to use the Fiskars embossing plates that were for manual embossing with my Cuttlebug! I used the flower one on the pink background and the stripes on the kraft cardstock! And now I am very happy that I didn't give these big plastic embossing plates away :)
For my sandwich I used:
A Plate
Fiskars Plate
Paper (what I am embossing)
Rubber (which I use with my Nestabilities)
C Plate
Supplies:
Card Base: Flutter Card Pack Blue Motif (NC-1279) (Momenta)
Stickers: Butterflies from Baby Steps Layered Puffy (Momenta)
Vellum Sticker: Smile My Style Vellum (Momenta)
Jewels: Brights Gems (Momenta)
Ribbon: DCWV
Cardstock: Kraft (The Paper Studio)

And aren't those puffy stickers wonderful!? I remember when I use to collect these back in elementary school, just LOVE 'EM!

We have been busy getting ready for all of Hannah's birthday parties! On the 8th, I made 70 cookies and 1-1/2 pounds of homemade frosting to go with them, received some amazing twine from the Twinery, and spent a lot of time on the phone with a DT conference call and with my sister (boy do I miss her!)! On the 9th I applied the frosting to the cookies and sprinkled them with green sugar crystals...just in case the 1-1/2 pounds of frosting wasn't enough, went shopping and found some amazing deals at Target, and met Melissa from Disney Dreamer Designs! Today is Hannah's ELEVENTH birthday! She has a party at school today, our family dinner and gifts this evening, a friend party tomorrow at the skating rink, and our Michigan family party on Sunday! A whole weekend of Hannah, she is so excited...I am just hoping I have everything done that I am suppose to! :)
More baking today in attempt to recreate my Mom's famous Christmas Tree cookies and frosting! Wish me luck!
