Thanksgiving Turkey and Box

I had so much fun creating this little turkey in Inkscape!  I put him on my Open Sided Box, but you can size him to fit any card or project...that is what I love about SVG files!
You can grab the files below:
Supplies:
Pattern Paper and Cardstock:  Momenta
Ink:  Chestnut Roan (Cat's Eye Chalk Ink)
Ribbon: American Crafts and Misc. Twine

  8. Oh, Jamie, this is so very cute (and I just love boxes)!!!

I'm so impressed you use Inkscape!!! I've tried so many times but I just can't understand the program at all!!! Unfortunately, there is so much I still need Inkscape for even with the new version of SCAL; but I'm truly lost so I have lots of unfinished files! I even tried the tutorials on YouTube but they left me confused!

  9. That is a seriously cute turkey Jamie! I'm hoping it doesn't smell as bad as the real ones...I just got up close and personal with two REAL ones.

  14. thanks for the cute turkey, what size is the box itself?

  15. The box is a SVG file so you can create it to be any size you want. I cut mine with the Cricut Expression, making the fill the mat lenght wise (about 11") and width around 7". When it is folded up it is 4 1/2" tall and about 2 1/4" wide.

  17. Can you explain the box, it did not make any sense when I cut it out, I don't know how that makes a box...

  18. Denise, it is an open sided box so the two short ends fold in and then the two larger piece come up and meet in the middle. The score marks are along the cuts...if you need a photo with the score lines send me an email and I will draw one up and email it back.

    Thanks!
