As I was going over the Freshly Picked Cricut Cartridge book, I ran across this flower pot and knew that I had to give it a try with some accordion flowers!
I used Cricut Design Studio to combine two flower pots to form a card base in shadow option, making them just over 5". I then added a regular cut of the flower base in tan, the pot rim in brown (hiding the contour on the flower petals), and the leaf pieces in two shades of green. You can download my cut file HERE. Once I cut all the pieces, I added ink to the pot and leaf pieces using Cat's Eye Chalk Ink in Chestnut Roan and Olive Pastel then adhered the pieces to the cardbase. To build the accordion flowers, I cut six strips of paper from 1/2" to 1" in thickness and 12" in length and scored each strip at every 1/2" mark. Fold the paper on the score marks, bending back and forth like an accordion then glue the two end pieces together to form a circle. Next, push in the center of each circle to form the flower. Secure the flower with Mini Glue Dots and add a Dew Drop to the center. I attached each flower to the flower pot with Craft Glue Dots. The last step is to stamp a sentiment under the flower pot rim!
