This little alien was cut from Cricut Every Day Paper Dolls...isn't he adorable?! The zap, alien gun, and spaceship stamps are from Recollections and the inside wording is from a Fiskars Birthday pack.
Introducing my first Cricut Design Studio Pop-Up card!
The cut file is created from Wild Card and Paper Doll Dress Up. Here are the details:
- The card base needs to be scored at 5"
- The pattern paper insert needs to be scored at 4 1/2"
- The middle sheet (eek) needs to be scored at 1 5/8" (and save the insides of the e's)
- For the spider pop-up, the large card pieces meet in the middle (they almost touch, rest right on the score lines of the pattern paper). You will have to bend the long skinny bits a little.
- After you put all the pieces together, you have to fold the spider web when you close the card and tuck the little spider in some.
And the rest is pretty straight forward, but as always, if you have any quesitons - just let me know!
I would love to see what you create!
These little goodie bags are 7 1/2" tall and 3 1/2" wide (and about 2" thick) when finished. The cut file was created with George/Basic Shapes and Plantin Schoolbook. The score marks are provided on the cut file. You need to do all the scoring first, there are six vertical scores (located in line with the star) and then one horizontal score (two score marks as guides) which is located about 1 3/4" from the bottom. After you do all the scoring, begin folding the vertical scores at the front (near each side of the star). It is like a lunch bag, accordian style-so the middle fold bends in. Once you have the folds in place, join the two back pieces. I use my small tape runner so that the back pieces overlap about 1/4". Next, you fold up the bottom like an end of a gift package. I push the sides in and create points (triangle shapes) for the front and back pieces. I used glue dots to secure the bottom folds. Behind the star shape I used vellum which will hide the goodies I put inside!
(I have instruction to the side for downloading cut files)

Another cut from the Cricut Paper Doll Dress Up Cartridge. I cut the dragon at 3 3/4" on kraft paper and then used watercolor pencils and dove blender to add color. The paper and ribbon is BasicGrey and stamp is from Stampin' Up!.
I regularly find myself in need of a pencil holder. It may be yet another obsession of mine, the need for a good pencil, pen, or marker...not sure - all I know is I never have enough space in my existing holder (you know how it is - they all get smooshed together and you can't just reach in and grab one, you have to tug until a couple fly out or the holder spills all together...tell me it isn't just me!). Anyway-I got fed up today when I was digging for my purple watercolor pencil - it was burried. I realized it took me longer to locate the pencil than it did to use it, so off to Cricut Design Studio I went! This cut file (pencil holder) is created from Accent Essential: This is what the cut file looks like:
After you remove it from the Cricut cutting mat, place glue on the tips of the middle oval bits (in the middle) and pull one side up so it looks like the photo below:
[note: there is no need to score any of this, it is just rounded]
Once you have one side pulled up - all you have to do is bring the other side in. I use a stapler, twice on each side to hold it securely together. All there is left to do is decorate it and it is ready to use! Sweet and simple! Remember to leave me a comment if you make one so I can come see!
The house and tree were cut from Cricut Wild card. I cut the sun and the hills/grass from Paper Doll Dress Up. The kitty inside the door is cut from Animal Kingdom. The cloud stamps are Hero Arts, Sky's the limit.
I found this stamp at Joann's the other day and had to have it!
The cupcake is a hero arts stamp, ribbon is American Crafts.
I found this little fish and his bowl on the Cricut Animal Kingdom cartridge. I cut the bowl out at 4 1/2" in vellum and clear plastic (vellum is background). The water was cut with head option at 4 1/2" and I added chalk and adhered it to the vellum bowl. The seaweed was cut twice at 3 3/4". I added chalk to each cut and then layered them offset some. The fish was cut at 1 1/2" in both the normal mode and the shift mode. I added chalk and glitter pen to him (and of course a googly eye!). The bubbles are gemstones from Hero Arts and the rock is actual gravel bits. After I adhered all the items to the water, I placed the clear plastic on top. The paper is by My Mind's Eye and embellishment (splash) is from Karen Foster. The fish on the inside was a normal cut at 3/4". I had lots of fun making this one - may have to try another fish card soon :D
Well, by now it isn't any secret that I am addicted to Fun Flock! This card started with that addiciton and worked itself from the inside out... I picked up the glue ink pad and this morning I had to give it a go with my Be Mine stamp (by G). The photo below doesn't do it much justice, but it at least gives you a visual/idea of what it looks like! The front of the card was cut from Circut Accent Essentials, The blue scallops are 3 3/4" and 4 3/4" with the shift turned on and the green scallop is 3 3/4" as a regular cut (I only used the frame portion). The heart was cut at 3 3/4" as a regular cut and then again at 3 3/4" with the shadow feature. I embossed the main heart with a cuttlebug embossing folder, then added foam squares to make it stand out on the shadow cut heart. I added jewels (from me & my big ideas - icons) to the front of the card on the already existing dots. The ribbon and button-like embellishments are from the Target dollar bin.

Who could resist the little lightning bugs on the Cricut Stretch Your Imagination cartridge? I cut the jar at 4 1/2" in Vellum, for the back of the jar and the wings and again in a clear plastic for the front of the jar. I then cut the bugs out in black. With the layer option on, I cut in silver, for the lid to the jar and yellow for the bottoms of the bugs. The grass was cut at 1 1/2" from the Paper Doll Dress Up cartridge then inked. I added Fun Flock to the bugs and then outlined their wings in a glitter marker. Paper is My Mind's Eye - Just Dreamy, Hero Arts Stamp

This is my first 12x12 card...it is for a baby shower I am throwing at work, so I knew we would need extra room for all the signatures. The dinosaur and stars are from Cricut,
Paper Doll Dress Up. Paper is Basic Grey
Good morning!
I have had this ribbon for some time, but I haven't found anything
to match it with...so today I decided to start with it!
~enjoy!
This evening Hannah and I made paper bracelets!
We used 1" thick strips cut into 3" pieces, put glue on the back and
then rolled them around a toothpick. I placed a small slice of tape around
the bead to secure the glue (and to add some strength).
We used stretchy elastic to string them together...fun project for kids!
