The flower centers and leaf pieces would need additional paper (those would fit on a 6-1/2" x 4-3/4" paper). If you have the Portrait, you will have to move things around. Hope that helps.Jamie Lane Designshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17906558081975285893noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2660542849201491391.post-18240418339539972432014-03-17T16:54:20.038-04:002014-03-17T16:54:20.038-04:00These flowers are beautiful!!

I realize that it depends on the size of the flower, however I am curious for the size dahlia you have in the tutorial.

Thanks, StacyMiss Shttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13247854639624391431noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2660542849201491391.post-11067173139833426752014-03-14T13:36:26.497-04:002014-03-14T13:36:26.497-04:00Thank you Jamie, yes that really helps. Only the items you place on the white "virtual" mat will cut so the pieces you don't want to cut just yet, you can leave off to the side in the grey area. I tend to change how I cut with each file. Typically I try to section items so that all of my cuts that are say in Yellow will be in the right top corner, blue in the left top, Orange in bottom right and Green in the bottom left...then I cut my paper to match those squares. However, if I have a large file, I will just ungroup and pull the pieces over to the active mat that I want to cut. Hope that helps! I have so much to learn. I love your flowers ! But, I have a really dumb question. When cutting the different colors of cardstock for the flowers ~ do you cut the cardstock colors to fit the flower and then are able to put all the different colors of cardstock on the mat, or do you make separate cuts with all the different colors. I hope this makes sense. Thank you !JAOhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12922587532043084358noreply@blogger.com
