Picnic Basket Card

This Picnic Basket Card is sized to fit an A7 envelope.  It is approximately 5" tall and 6-1/2" wide.  The white mat (where you would add text) is approximately 4-1/4" x 4-1/4".  The red tab pulls up to reveal the invitation information (or you could add a greeting and/or gift card!).  Then you push the piece back down to form the lid for the picnic basket!  This file is compatible with both the 8x12 and 12x12 mats.  You can find more information and additional images on my blog:  https://jamielanedesigns.blogspot.com/2018/01/picnic-basket-card.html

Here is the tutorial:
(please note that the tutorial photos were taken at a different size than the finished project.  Assembly instructions are the same but colors and look may vary slightly.)

1.  Cut out all your pieces, ink if desired.  Begin with the basket base.  Fold on the score lines and add adhesive to the two side tabs.
2.  Fold the basket base up and adhere in place.
3.  Next grab your picnic basket cloth cut and the basket rim.  Fold the cloth on the score line and adhere to the top of your rim piece.  Note, the triangle part is going to go over your front of the rim.
4.  This is a view of the front of the rim.  Add two small foam adhesives to the area that will touch the rim and one at the cloth point.
5.  This is the back view again.  Add foam to the rim back.
6.  Adhere the rim in place on the basket base...be sure NOT to stick that cloth point foam just yet though!
7.  Add foam to the back of your handle pieces.  Lift your cloth up some and then adhere at an angle.  I like them to hang off the basket just a bit (like the product image more so than this photo).  Once in place, press the foam down on the cloth point to adhere!
8.  Grab your handle piece and run it along the side of your desk to put a bit of a "curve" in it.
9. Then adhere the two ends together to form the loop.
10. Score the basket lid cut and then insert the loop through the larger slot in the center.  Adhere into place.  Adhere your white mat (what you have printed or will add a sentiment too) to the larger mat.  Add adhesive strips to the inside of the basket lid piece.
11. Line your matted piece so it is in the middle of the lid piece and adhere into place.  Make sure you are using a strong adhesive (like a double-sided tape) as  this is the piece that gets pulled.
12.  Fold the lid piece down over your matted pieces and rub so they are secure!

Add foam adhesive to the back of the ant and adhere to the basket...then just insert your lid into the basket and you are ready to go!
