The Gift of Money!

Sticking with this weeks theme - today I am sharing two fun ways to give the gift of money!

First up is my new Book of Money! 
This file come with four compartments to store paper money and it is all contained in a cute little book with a slip off cover!  The finished project is approximately 3-1/4" x 4-1/4" x 1/2" and it is compatible with both the 12x12 and 8x12 mats.
Here is the tutorial:
1.  Cut out the inside pieces and fold on the score lines.  Place 1/4" adhesive strip on the two  short edges of the flap.
2.  Fold the flap part up and adhere the two sides to the back to form a pocket.
3.  Adhere the decorative panel in place as shown.
4.  Turn the piece over and adhere the small decorative panels within each square as shown.
5.  Turn the piece back over and insert your money.
6.  Repeat steps 1-5 for the remaining three cuts so you have a total of four money pockets.
7.  Next cut your cover and fold accordion style.  Here is the inside view of the folds.
8.  This image is the outside view of the folds.
9.  Lay the cover flat and place adhesive as shown (8 strips).
10.  Adhere your first page in place, adhering the accordion fold around it as shown.
11-12.  Continue adhering pages until all four are in place.
13.  When complete, it should look like this.
14.  Cut your cover piece out and fold on the score lines.  Place adhesive on the side tab and bottom tab. 
15.  Adhere the bottom tab to the side tab.
16.  Bring the side over to close the box so it look like this image now.
17.  Slide the cover on to the open end of the book.
18.  Embellish with twine to finish!


Next is my Book of Gift Cards!
This file come with four compartments to store gift cards and it is all contained in a cute little book with a slip off cover!  The finished project is approximately 3" x 4" x 3/8" and it is compatible with both the 12x12 and 8x12 mats.  

Here is the tutorial:
1.  Cut out all the pieces and fold on the score lines.  Place your gift cards in the tabs of the inserts.
2.  Place adhesive in the accordion folds of the cover (8 strips) as shown.
3.  Adhere your first page in place, adhering the accordion fold around it as shown.
4-5.  Continue adhering pages until all four are in place.
6.  When complete, it should look like this.
7.  For your cover piece, place adhesive on the side tab and bottom tab. 
8.  Adhere the bottom tab to the side tab then bring the side over to close the box so it look like this image now.
9.  Place the cover piece on the open end of the book and tie twine around it to embellish!
