Today I am sharing a Teacher gift using Samantha's 3D Apple Basket Silhouette cut and Silhouette's new Chipboard!  I love the weight of the chipboard and how beautifully it cuts with my Silhouette machine!  It really adds such sturdiness to the boxes and bags and now they can hold SO MUCH more!  My basket today has four post-it note pads, a pack of pencils, and a gift card and it doesn't bend what so ever when I pick it up!  Love that.

  Samantha Walker Supplies:
Silhouette Cuts: 3D Apple Basket
Papers: A to Z Collection

Other supplies:

Chipboard: Chipboard Pack (Silhouette) promo code SAMANTHA
Twine: The Twinery
Ink: Peeled Paint Distress, Tim Holtz (Ranger)
Color Shine (Heidi Swapp)
Wood Veneer (Studio Calico)

You can find Silhouette's new chipboard on sale now through 5/15!
Just click HERE and enter promo code SAMANTHA!

Tutorial:
1. Cut the 3D Apple Basket using Silhouette's Chipboard and again with your patterned paper.
2. Adhere the patterned paper on top of the chipboard cuts.
3. Fold on all the score marks and run the handle along the edge of your desk to form with a curve.
4. Place adhesive on the side tabs of the basket then adhere two sides against the apple shape as shown.
5. Adhere the remaining two side as shown in the image.
6. Place the handles through the slots provided on the sides.
7. Ink the chipboard stems with green ink and cut a 1" rectangle, trimming a triangle from one end.  Ink the banner shape as well.
8. After inking, lightly spritz with Color Shine to add shimmer.
9. Adhere the pieces to the basket and add twine and wood veneer to embellish.
