Friends Forever

Good morning!  Today I am sharing a coloring tutorial using Sweet Stamp Shop's Furry Friends Forever Stamp Set!
Let's get started!

Things you will need:
Sweet Stamp Shop Furry Friends Forever Stamp Set
Acrylic Block
Black Ink
Colored Pencils
Gamsol
Paper Blender Stick
White Cardstock
 1.  Stamp the image with black ink on white cardstock. (I keep several stamped images with my stamp set so I can grab them and color them easily!)
 2.  Choose two shades of brown colored pencils to work with.  Place the darker color along one side and the lighter shade to the right of it as shown.

 3.  Dip your paper blending stick on the Gamsol.
 4.  Blend color from left to right using small circular motions.
 5.  Go back in with the lighter shade and do the face area.
 6.  If you think any of the areas need more shading, add more of the darker shade then blend again!  (That is one of the best things about working with Gamsol vs. watercolor pencils - you can go back over any of the areas!)
 7.  This is what your animal should look like :)
 8.  Go in with a gray shade and color the nose then blend.
 9.  Fussy cut the colored image.
10. Stamps the image on your background and add a sentiment.  I almost always add a blank stamped image when I am cutting an image out.  I use foam adhesive to pop my colored image up and the blank stamped image provides a great shadowing effect!

And here is my finished card:

Supplies:
Stamps: Furry Friends Forever (Sweet Stamp Shop)
Pencils: Faber-Castell
Ink: Tuxedo Black (Momento) and Worn Lipstick & Mustard Seed Distress Ink by Tim Holtz (Ranger)

Do you see the shadow in the left bottom photo from the blank stamped image?  It really adds so much and is such an easy step!
