Sweet Stamp Shop + Core'dinations!

Welcome to the Sweet Stamp Shop and Core'dinations Blog Week!

There are so many amazing projects (and prizes!) that you aren't going to want to miss, so be sure to check out both the company blogs all week!

-----------------------------

Today I am sharing two cards!  First up I have a very simple card, but one I love so much! I used the Core'dinations  Glitter Silk cardstock as well as Tim Holtz & Ranger Distress Collection!  I just love the glittered paper, it has so much sparkle and it doesn't rub off on your hands!  :)

I wanted to keep this card simple, wanting to make the background look like water and the Glitter Silk paper was just perfect!  I sanded the edges of the paper and then inked them to give a little more dimension.

I used the Across the Miles Stamp Set from the Sweet Stamp Shop. This stamp is larger than my stamping block, so I used a Cuttlebug plate to hold the stamp!

I stamped the image on the Tim Holtz/Ranger Distress paper and then sanded it, making the edges more distressed, then gently sanded over areas within the states!  I used foam adhesive to pop up the image and then stamped in little tags and sayings that come with this stamp set!

Supplies:
Paper: Glitter Silk and Tim Holtz & Ranger Distress Collection (Core'dinations)
Ink: Tuxedo Black and Lady Bug (Momento) and Blue Iris (Cat's Eye Chalk Ink)
Punch: 1/4" Corner Rounder (Zutter)
Other: Ka-Jinker (pins for the map spots) and R29 Copic Sketch Marker (to color the Ka-Jinker pins)

For my second card I used the Happy Bugs Stamp Set from the Sweet Stamp Shop and Core'dinations Buttercup Core Essentials paper!

I love all the different looks you can get from the same paper.  I used one 6x12 piece to create this card!  The card base is in its original form with the edges sanded, the stamped papers are a sanded version of the paper, and the sentiment tag is the backside of the paper!

1.  Gather supplies.  I cut three pieces of the Core'dinations Buttercup Core Essentials paper (one is flipped so you can see the color), place the "bee" stamp on your acrylic block, get your ink and sander.

2.  Sand each of your papers.  I place mine on a piece of scrap paper so I can shake off the dust.
3.  This photo shows the original pieces (one front and one back) as well as one sanded piece).
4.  Shake off dust and then brush off any remaining dust.  Repeat Steps 2-4 for each piece of paper.
5.  Ink your stamp and place it on your paper.
6.  This photo shows the stamped image.
7.  I moved my stamp in different areas of the papers to make it look as if it were moving/flying.
8.  Since I do not have a sink area in my tiny scrap room, I use a spray bottle of water to spritz my stamps and a paper towel to wipe away the ink and water!
9.  Fold the card base and sand the edges!

Supplies:
Paper: Buttercup Core Essentials paper (Core'dinations)
Ink: Tuxedo Black (Momento)
Punch: 1/2" Corner Rounder (Zutter)
Pen: Black Dual-Tip (Creative Memories)
Ribbon: May Arts and Misc. Twine
